The church isn’t a building, It’s a body…the body of Christ, made up of many people. An important part of belonging to that body is serving in a practical way on Sundays. Serving in the church is more than volunteering. For those of us who are Christians, we are called to be ministers of the gospel, and a fantastic way to do that is by serving in our church.
Although we are technically volunteering our time and talents, we are serving for a much a greater purpose. The vision of City Church is bringing beauty into broken places. It’s the people of the church that make sure that vision gets accomplished. Serving at City Church means making this a safe place for all people, including skeptics, unbelievers, believers with doubts and even those who reject Christ to come and be refreshed as they explore the possibility of faith.
We want City Church to be a place for people to come and experience something so moving that they want to be here, regardless of whether or not they agree with what we are doing. In order for that to happen, it takes every person in our church body serving on a regular basis on Sundays. Serving on a regular basis is a great opportunity to meet people and gives us a sense that we are part of something very special. To those who are already serving regularly, thank you. You are a part of making worship happen each Sunday.
If you are looking to get better connected, serving on a ministry team is a great place to start. More importantly, it’s a way for us to directly care for all who come through our doors. Will you join us? Sign up to serve today.
