Good food, real community, fun times, the reminder you are Christ’s so you don’t have to work so hard to please other people . . . This is City Youth on Sunday nights.
Our middle school and high school students meet together not because that’s what churches do, but because it’s a basic human need to meet, to eat, to have fun, and to know who you are. One recent Sunday looked like this: City Youth met at the Mueller’s house where students devoured tacos before making birthday cards for people who work at the International Justice Mission field office in Mumbai. Normally we include a student-led game, but we changed it up for a week. The guys looked at the book of James and talked together about living faith; the girls looked at Jesus’ first miracle of turning water into wine and talked about Christ’s power in their lives.
We want you at City Youth and we already think you are cool. You don’t have to have it all together before you come. You don’t have to have exactly what you believe nailed down before you get here. Come with your mess and your questions and join a group of friends for dinner. We can’t wait to see you there.
